ABOUT THIS WATCH

The Essence Space Ghost 41 mm features a dial crafted from genuine Muonionalusta meteorite, a material that formed approximately 4.5 billion years ago. As the meteorite cooled over millions of years in space, its iron and nickel content crystallized into the Widmanstätten pattern visible on every dial today. Because this structure occurs naturally, no two dials are alike. A proprietary rhodium treatment developed by Formex and Swiss dial manufacturer Cadranor protects and enhances the meteorite's natural texture and silvery appearance, while blued hands and indexes provide clear contrast and legibility.

The watch is housed in the latest-generation Essence case, featuring a screw-down crown and a redesigned stainless-steel bracelet with Formex's integrated three-position on-the-fly micro-adjustment system. Without removing the watch from the wrist or opening the clasp, the bracelet length can be instantly adjusted between 0, 3, and 6 mm positions, allowing the fit to adapt throughout the day as wrist size changes. Both the bracelet and straps can be exchanged in seconds without the use of tools.

Powering the watch is Sellita's new SW200-2 Power+ automatic movement in its highest-quality Chronometer grade. Individually certified by the COSC, the Swiss Made caliber delivers a 65-hour power reserve and benefits from improved winding efficiency and enhanced shock resistance. Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, the movement features brushed decoration, blued screws, and Formex's custom-developed skeletonized rotor.

The Essence Space Ghost 41 mm is produced in small annual batches, with the current production limited to 150 pieces.

All Essence straps and the bracelet can be changed by hand without the use of tools. The carbon fiber deployant clasp can be changed without tools and can be used for all Essence 41/43, Essence Leggera and Reef Nylon, Leather and Rubber straps.

DIAL

Muonionalusta meteorite dial featuring a naturally occurring Widmanstätten pattern, formed through the ultra-slow cooling of the asteroid’s core. Each dial is one-of-a-kind, with a beveled date window machined directly into the meteorite. A proprietary anti-oxidation treatment developed with Cadranor penetrates the porous iron matrix and is sealed with galvanic rhodium plating—preserving the raw texture while enhancing its silvery sheen. Blued hands and markers complement the dial’s spectral appearance, with BGW9 Super-LumiNova applied to hands and indexes for low-light legibility.
