Please note that the lug width of the 002L is 20 mm. The majority of our watch straps are 18 mm and will not fit to this line.
After receiving many requests, we have released a 38mm version of our bestselling OLD SMITH 90-002. The OLD SMITH 90-002 raised 13 million yen for its original crowdfunding launch and has remained a best seller to this day. This 38mm version maintains the same classic and rugged style of the original, but with a larger case size.
The OLD SMITH 90-002 is a classic field watch inspired by British military watches from the 1940s-1970s. The thick numerals and large hour/minute hands were designed with an emphasis on visibility and use orange-tinted luminescent paint (using Swiss Super-LumiNova®). The dial has an uneven satin finish to further emulate the dial designs of that time. The body of the watch (made of 316L Stainless Steel) is intentionally polished to add a bit of elegance to an otherwise rugged design.
Our OLD SMITH 90-002L comes with two nylon straps. These nylon straps have a supple texture and are usable for a wide range of situations. Unlike traditional leather straps, these nylon straps are perfect for hot, sweaty summer months.

To keep your watch performing at its best, we recommend avoiding strong impacts, extreme temperatures, and prolonged exposure to moisture unless your watch is designed for water activities. After exposure to salt water, rinse the watch gently with fresh water and dry with a soft cloth.
For mechanical watches, regular wear helps keep the movement running smoothly. If the watch is not worn often, manual winding may be needed depending on the model. Quartz watches may require battery replacement over time.
Leather straps should be kept away from excessive water and humidity to preserve their appearance and longevity.
