The new AVERAU 39 Moon phase collection is our modern reinterpretation of a classic watch complication. One of the earliest known complications, the moon phase displays the sunlit portion of the moon, as observed from earth.
The crystal
DOMED SAPPHIRE CRYSTAL
All AVERAU 39 watches are fitted with a wonderful sapphire crystal with a domed profile and thanks to the double internal anti-reflection coating, the dial is readable in any situation.
The complication
MOON PHASE IN BOTH HEMISPHERES
The moon completes its lunar cycle in 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes, and 2.8 seconds. Since the center wheel makes one rotation per hour, a series of gear ratios (forming a reducing gear train) can be used to transition from one hour to approximately one lunar cycle. Our version is a modern reinterpretation of the classic Moon Phase complication: it shows both the Northern Hemisphere and the Southern Hemisphere views of the moon.
To keep your watch performing at its best, we recommend avoiding strong impacts, extreme temperatures, and prolonged exposure to moisture unless your watch is designed for water activities. After exposure to salt water, rinse the watch gently with fresh water and dry with a soft cloth.
For mechanical watches, regular wear helps keep the movement running smoothly. If the watch is not worn often, manual winding may be needed depending on the model. Quartz watches may require battery replacement over time.
Leather straps should be kept away from excessive water and humidity to preserve their appearance and longevity.
