The new AVERAU 39 Moon phase collection is our modern reinterpretation of a classic watch complication. One of the earliest known complications, the moon phase displays the sunlit portion of the moon, as observed from earth.

All AVERAU 39 watches are fitted with a wonderful sapphire crystal with a domed profile and thanks to the double internal anti-reflection coating, the dial is readable in any situation.
The complication
“BIG MOON” PHASE
The moon completes its lunar cycle in 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes, and 2.8 seconds. Since the center wheel makes one rotation per hour, a series of gear ratios (forming a reducing gear train) can be used to transition from one hour to approximately one lunar cycle. The moon phase is graphically represented by means of a large convex moon turning on itself: two arrow indicators inside it indicate the current moon phase graphically on one side and textually on the other.
To keep your watch performing at its best, we recommend avoiding strong impacts, extreme temperatures, and prolonged exposure to moisture unless your watch is designed for water activities. After exposure to salt water, rinse the watch gently with fresh water and dry with a soft cloth.
For mechanical watches, regular wear helps keep the movement running smoothly. If the watch is not worn often, manual winding may be needed depending on the model. Quartz watches may require battery replacement over time.
Leather straps should be kept away from excessive water and humidity to preserve their appearance and longevity.
